White Puppy with the PetID in Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monaco

Second most famous celebrity next to F1 racers in Grand Prix week in Monaco was our white shepherd puppy BTWW Windsor wearing the PetID. PetFinder PetID was launched in Monaco the same week as the F1 Grand Prix took place to help people never lose their pets wherever they go. Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monaco is the most famous and prestigious race of the championship. Good example of a “never give up story” again. In 1925, the Monaco Automobile Club applied to register with its headquarters. Association of Recognized Automobile Clubs established in 1904 in Paris, a forerunner of today’s International Automobile Federation, FIA. The Monaco Club, however, was refused a registration. The Association found it inappropriate to accept the tiny state that was not even holding a single race on its territory. Nevertheless, the Monegasques Alexander Nogez and his son Anthony would not take “no” for an answer. […]

World’s first cross-border PetFinder app launches in Monaco

RIVIERA-PRESS.FR 24.05.2017 A revolutionary way of identifying lost pets worldwide and reuniting them with the owners has arrived in Monaco. PetWorld Global is an app-based service that was conceived by Monika Laneman, a hobby dog breeder and trainer in Estonia, following a traumatic incident where she lost her dogs while in Italy.  “Dog identification microchips are only registered in the country of origin, which in my case was Estonia,” explains the founder. “Luckily my dogs were found with the help of the local police, but it made me wonder why there is not a global identification system that can quickly and efficiently locate the owners of lost pets regardless of what country you are in.” Her start-up, PetWorld Global, allows pet owners to register their animal online and order the personal PetID. This is linked to your personal information and, once attached to your pet’s collar, allows lost furry friends […]

Never Lose Your Pet Again is the headline used by PetID PetFinder which the Founder and Dog Breeder Monika Laneman who is behind the PetID idea explains as following. When I lost two of my dogs in Italy and suddenly realised there is not a system how my dogs could be identified, I realised I had to do something about it. I got lucky, my dogs were found and thanks to good people I got my dogs back. But Italy is not such a small country as Estonia, where you can post the lost or found dog on timeline and friends will contact you, go pick up your dog. Making the decision to bring a new best friend home is exciting. But, the first week home can also be unnerving, especially if you are unsure how to deal with the antics of a baby puppy. What you need to know when buying a pedigree dog

When buying a purebred dog, there are things you need to know to help you find your new best friend. There are many arguments for and against purebred versus crossbred dogs. But, whatever your choice here are some things to keep in mind when choosing your purebred puppy. Why choose a purebred dog? Many breeds of dogs have been developed over hundreds of years for their specific characteristics and instincts. All of them were originally bred for a purpose such as the Border collie for sheep herding or the golden retriever for duck hunting. With many years of selective breeding purebred dogs are true to their breed type when producing offspring. You can predict, mostly, how they will look, behave, and their size and characteristics. Of course, there will be exceptions, there always is. This makes it easy for you to decide what it is you want from your dog […]

Statement to clarify the ANKC WSSD Breed Survey results

On January 18, 2017, the ANKC (Australian National Kennel Council) released the results of the White Swiss Shepherd breed survey that closed on December 8, 2016. The survey was to introduce the integration of WSSDCA (White Swiss Shepherd Dog Club of Australia) registered dogs into the ANKC WSSD gene pool. In light of the survey, the majority of ANKC WSSD owners voted against the integration of WSSDCA dogs into the current ANKC WSSD gene pool, for some of the following reasons: the survey did not identify the benefits of integrating non-ANKC dogs into the ANKC gene pool there was no proposal for assessing animals prior to integration into the ANKC gene pool the role the WSSDCA had in developing the survey without consultation with the wider ANKC WSSD community the WSSDCA registry is self-regulated, and also accepts and breeds animals outside the FCI breed standard. The situation regarding the WSSD in […]
